Cool Shades

Brad does not approve of this picture but I think it's cute. He he. He thinks baby sunglasses are vain but I wanted to start her young protecting her eyes. He said to write that he thinks it's ridiculous at this age. Lara, what do you think? Don't worry, it's not a big deal over here so you won't be "taking sides" :) I just can't believe she leaves them on her face!

Still working on neck strength...it's coming along!

We're off to a youth pastor's retreat for a few days. Happy May everyone!

  2. You are absolutely right, Kris, it's never too early to start protecting Cora's eyes! If she will keep them on her face, go for it. Right now, 100% UV is about all you should concern yourselves with. When she is ready (and won't lose or break them), it's a good idea to invest in a pair with quality lenses for good optics. We all love our Ray Bans, right? And assuming I'm still connected, Auntie Lara will be able to set her up in proper style :)

By the way, Brad, there's nothing wrong with looking fabulous while you protect your eyes...after all, if you've got it, flaunt it!

  3. Oh, I just love that sunglasses picture!! A four-month old doesn't know what vanity is, so let her be cute & protect those little eyeballs! :) Bennett hates the sun in his face, and when we go on walks it happens too often, so maybe I should go find a pair...
Love when you post pics! :) LK

  4. Cora's cousins love their sunglasses! Gideon thinks he's just like Daddy and wears them with a special smirk:). Anneke, on the other hand, love to snap them in two. Doesn't matter whose they are either:(. Many a pair of gona awol too...but they love to wear them!

  5. Sorry Brad, but I agree with Kris. Our boys started with them young and it is good for their eyes to have the UV protection. It isn't about looks, but practical. Of course my Dutch side hates to pay for them so I buy them 1 pair a year and then they have to buy any after that with their money if they lose them or ruin them. They are required to have a working pair and they enjoy them.
