Update - I have decided not to take the job with Bethany Christian Services. I would love to work for them someday, but it's not the right time for me to take this on. Thank you to everyone who helped me process the opportunity and prayed for me as we made this decision. Brad and I both feel that this is the best thing and I am very happy about how it has gone. It was a lot easier to make this decision than I thought it would be. I am happy to continue subbing a couple days a month and enjoying every other moment I have with Cora and Brad. The simpler, the better.
Here are a few pictures of Cora. She seems to enjoy picking things up...Maybe she's just testing her strength and balance. I don't know. Here she's picking up a potty chair. No, we're not potty training, but I found it really cheap at a second-hand store so I picked it up for the future.
This is a picture of Cora sleeping a couple days ago. I went in to wake her up because we had to go somewhere apparently important (I try to NEVER wake her up from a nap!) I just never get to see her sleeping anymore like I did when she was so much younger so I just had to take a picture of how sweet she looked!
Good Night, Prince Jack. Thanks for your friendship. You served your family well.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful dog.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry for your loss.
I am glad you have a beautiful daughter, to keep your house busy and happy.
We remember meeting Jack in Alaska first, the California...
ReplyDeleteKristin, I am excited for you to continue to stay home with Cora/Brad:). Neat opportunity, but it sounds like you made a wise choice!
Sorry to hear the news about Jack. Like I said, if you guys need a Dog fix, you can barrow Bailey! :-)
ReplyDeleteCora is such a sweetie!! When is she going to be blessed with a little brother or sister? teehee!
Love you guys, kami
sorry to hear about Jack! that must be tough.
ReplyDeleteHowever, much easier to clean house? I hear pets are as much work as babies. I know, that doesn't make it easier. Will you get another dog, or no?
Cora's a cutie! I don't need to remind you of that! :)
I've got some great memories of Jack at the cabin. Great dog.
ReplyDeleteJack was a good example of what a dog should be and can be. I like the nick name Prince Jack b/c he was aprince of a dog. I am thankful you were blessed to have him b/c he filled a special place for your family.
ReplyDeletei love those pictures of sleeping kids. I love to peek in at night just cuz they are so precious and it lasts even when they get lots older. But you are so right you don't see her like that much anymore.
Hope you have a great weekend at the cabin.
Love Mom
