A few pictures

My first attempt at a home-made pocket diaper.
I think it turned out pretty well. We'll see if it really works in a few months!

6 months (28 weeks) and counting...I don't know how it looks but I feel bigger than 6 months. 3 months of growing to go still? You've got to be kidding me!

Our sweet girl.
Cora, where are you?
There you are!
I love these curls!

  1. Yeah Kristin, you look fantastic!!! And I love the shirt you're wearing :) The diaper looks good... you'll have to tell me how it works when the time comes. BTW, I'd wait to start cloth til maybe after the umbilical cord is gone? Then you don't have to worry about rubbing it, or washing meconium and yucky first poops out of your nice, new diapers :)

  2. way to go on the sewing, I'm very impressed!!!
you look fantastic for 6 mo. I thought the same thing though - wow, 3 more months of growing? you hardly think it's possible to get any bigger! :) You look great and hope that you feel great too yet.
Cora is such a big girl (as in, grown up!) and I just love those curls. Will be hard to ever cut that hair :)

  3. Brittany is right, wait with the cloth diapers for a couple weeks. We loved using cloth diapers like that. They are even better when you put disposable diaper liners in them. We bought Gerber brand from Target and we would get a large box for about $4. I think it had about 100 liners in it. They looked like dryer sheets, but were made of polypropelene and were great for keeping the moisture off the baby bottom and if the child would poop you just lift out the disposable liner and dispose of it with your wet wipe. There was no messy scrubbing in the toilet. Maybe you already know about these, but they really make cloth diapers WONDERFUL & inexpensive. You look great by the way. :) Keep up the good sewing!
