We're back from the ARYP Gathering in Mesquite, NV. It was a great weekend. Cora and I hung out with good friend Brittany who was there with her hubby, also. I think it was a good time for Brad and the other guys to network, encourage, and visioneer the future. It sure was good for me to be able to spend some time with Brittany! I'm so glad you could come, Brit!
Unfortunately, I managed to totally forget that we took the camera along so we have no pictures. We had a good trip out and back - about 6 hours of driving each way. Brad and I stopped at a park along the way to eat lunch (good old ham buns) and let Cora play on the toys. She thinks she's a big girl, climbing up ladders (with Daddy's help) and sliding down slides (with Mama's assistance). It's a fun time for all three of us! Cora did well in the car. Well, honestly I think that's because we planned well with plenty of toys and snacks to appease her when she seemed bored. I think she must be taking after her Mother - she only slept 20 minutes the whole time. I guess when I was little I didn't sleep during car rides, either!
Friday night we splurged on a seafood buffet at a casino. It was amazing! I was very impressed with the crablegs and shrimp. We definitely ate our fill...Yum. But the lobster tail doesn't even compare to the lobster we had in Maine back when Brad and I visited my college roommate, Maygann! So many good memories from that weekend, too!
We're glad to be home for a while again and we pick up our puppy tomorrow and celebrate Mothers' Day with Mom and Dad B.
yay! That was a fun weekend! We should all get together sometime and relive that!
